Mining Intelligence Construction Accelerates in 2026: Fusion of Electric Equipment and Remote Control Systems

#Industry News ·2026-06-05 11:01:03

In the first half of 2026, my country's pace of intelligent mine construction accelerated significantly. Recent guidance issued by the National Mine Safety Administration and other departments explicitly called for accelerating the intelligent transformation of coal and metal mines. Against this backdrop, the deep integration of electric equipment with remote control and intelligent monitoring systems has become a key focus of the industry. In several intelligent demonstration coal mine projects, the performance of tracked electric muck loaders and mining electric excavators has attracted considerable attention. These devices not only achieve zero-emission operation but also, through the integration of 5G communication modules and industrial cameras, have initially acquired remote control capabilities. In some high-gas or geologically complex mines, operators can complete inclined shaft muck removal and coal face excavation operations from a ground control center, significantly reducing the risk of underground personnel exposure. According to feedback from engineering technicians involved in the pilot projects, the efficiency of single-shift operations increased by approximately 25%-40% compared to traditional manual operation after the electric equipment was combined with the remote control system, while the timeliness of equipment fault warnings was significantly improved. However, the stability and latency control of the remote control system under complex working conditions remain issues that require continuous optimization. From an equipment perspective, mainstream electric tracked muck loaders generally possess real-time data upload capabilities, synchronizing key parameters such as power, temperature, and hydraulic status to a ground monitoring platform. Some advanced models are also exploring the introduction of AI-assisted decision-making to help operators determine the optimal muck removal path and timing. Industry analysts believe that 2026 will be a crucial year for the integrated development of "electrification + intelligentization" in mining. Electric equipment addresses fundamental environmental and safety issues, while intelligent systems further enhance production efficiency and management levels. The combination of the two is expected to provide crucial support for achieving less-manned and unmanned operations in coal mines. Of course, intelligent transformation also faces practical challenges, including significant initial investment, a shortage of technical personnel, and adaptability to different mine geological conditions. Balancing technological advancement with economic viability remains a pressing issue. Overall, with the continued promotion of relevant policies and technological iterations, the application scope of electric and intelligent equipment in mines is expected to further expand. This will not only affect the safety level of coal mine production but also have a profound impact on the green transformation of the entire mining industry.
